<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhty-E0YukEtRRFqk0aWtutMjIk3CQKYhIaabpK4P1mri-WlsbCMd0HexOHAUmRYTZW27NdSsFUKQ5DwEoZQaOCXUMzEHNQ2X_Y7l2s8SEdLCEux2NC9in83kKfWF-bUj3J0IpWY01U7Yw/s1600/photo+(61).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhty-E0YukEtRRFqk0aWtutMjIk3CQKYhIaabpK4P1mri-WlsbCMd0HexOHAUmRYTZW27NdSsFUKQ5DwEoZQaOCXUMzEHNQ2X_Y7l2s8SEdLCEux2NC9in83kKfWF-bUj3J0IpWY01U7Yw/s1600/photo+(61).JPG" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm totally in love with how this burlap wreathe turned out! I'll admit that I'm very partial to the color red and burlap in red is amazing! The wreathe itself was really easy to make but a little on the pricey side. I bought a 9" wide roll of burlap and needed 1 1/2 to complete the project. The rolls of burlap were $20 each so if you can find a good sale on it that would be a bonus.</div>
<br />
<br />
My first step was painting my wreathe red. Next I used a kitchen bowl to trace and cut my circles out. I used a brown washable marker to trace the circles. It washed right off my bowl afterwards and I could see the lines on my burlap. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKz7IlgwrzADbP_68Mrs5sbZ5w_t0-mbo5jTnM9KvQITsFItWxL04KqyH7kTKUOpMj14FStQkYl7W4VpS-bUauA65woxa2CAWAPnUisf-Vlondq1r7j4RZN5zrqkEkspVBcXJSkiDMHg4/s1600/photo+(62).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKz7IlgwrzADbP_68Mrs5sbZ5w_t0-mbo5jTnM9KvQITsFItWxL04KqyH7kTKUOpMj14FStQkYl7W4VpS-bUauA65woxa2CAWAPnUisf-Vlondq1r7j4RZN5zrqkEkspVBcXJSkiDMHg4/s1600/photo+(62).JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once my circles were cut I folded them in quarters and pinned them in the wreathe. This technique of pinning is much easier with felt, but using a wider pin head works. You could sew the ends and then hot glue it, but I try to avoid using hot glue for something I may use outside in the summer time because of the heat! This is how it looks in progress.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love changing out the wreathes on my welcome sign for the different seasons. I think this wreathe would be cute for Christmas, Valentine's and 4th of July!</div>

He loves playing with Legos so we decided to make a Lego style box! It was so easy and super fun!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiHTpYrcpIlJcbeVjumLY3LaNy1DKXc1PD_SWqXm8dqa55zrzG5gdrXZE__KeiR3x_Edu_CwdgdqLC1i9ySnXJfSXfdQKK0xf4LGAFhm9TcDm7aKYbAGAvpn4XParZNIZ1APV9YSXvCL4/s1600/Lego+Box+side.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiHTpYrcpIlJcbeVjumLY3LaNy1DKXc1PD_SWqXm8dqa55zrzG5gdrXZE__KeiR3x_Edu_CwdgdqLC1i9ySnXJfSXfdQKK0xf4LGAFhm9TcDm7aKYbAGAvpn4XParZNIZ1APV9YSXvCL4/s1600/Lego+Box+side.jpg" height="136" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The first step was to glue hot chocolate or coffee cup lids onto the top of a shoe box.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAyE_KfYrzm-r4XasdLGHto8_tJ585l4Iv6n2lBktXRz3dvFEfqcEPE2W7_0utOCXPX0lfCOmN-vHrsfAz4oi7A5OvsZR97kqPj5QfNZBZzI0944qhaND6zG9Hvz8IE4Pz2gTpcdQ_bkQ/s1600/photo+(59).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAyE_KfYrzm-r4XasdLGHto8_tJ585l4Iv6n2lBktXRz3dvFEfqcEPE2W7_0utOCXPX0lfCOmN-vHrsfAz4oi7A5OvsZR97kqPj5QfNZBZzI0944qhaND6zG9Hvz8IE4Pz2gTpcdQ_bkQ/s1600/photo+(59).JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next I let him pick out a spray paint color and we (him with a lot of supervision) went to town spray painting it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjv4srniPgqkzOFU_NGH4OCpGim0ZACA4lBdlYM1kfdVVeCz_DlnX23aEy1hE6Uo5OmLgw1jDtU3V404ZP1iG7sEGxZRgKuDSsN-BzE3bzhURpezdRu9UDID58gP3FqlJlAzSoPizF0HJ0/s1600/Lego+Box+side.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjv4srniPgqkzOFU_NGH4OCpGim0ZACA4lBdlYM1kfdVVeCz_DlnX23aEy1hE6Uo5OmLgw1jDtU3V404ZP1iG7sEGxZRgKuDSsN-BzE3bzhURpezdRu9UDID58gP3FqlJlAzSoPizF0HJ0/s1600/Lego+Box+side.jpg" height="136" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
After the paint dried we added some stickers and that was it! Yes there are some streaks and the lids are not glued on perfectly straight but we sure had a lot of fun making it together!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I absolutely love November! It's a time where everyone reflects on the blessings in their lives. Gratitude is a quality that we are trying to instill in our children. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVH4N2cebgcaV28mfvw0oYEZjppfqDEnEBMxnDSnTOkGRA9trBicqr7Y3zDYo4t84oziNAVx14wK_kzh1OqnjTfkADToQygxk44y-oBnfcfnmA5FIsNL3QZZzxrspbMqHJZDtvLyeC6Mo/s1600/photo+(53).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVH4N2cebgcaV28mfvw0oYEZjppfqDEnEBMxnDSnTOkGRA9trBicqr7Y3zDYo4t84oziNAVx14wK_kzh1OqnjTfkADToQygxk44y-oBnfcfnmA5FIsNL3QZZzxrspbMqHJZDtvLyeC6Mo/s320/photo+(53).JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This year I thought it would be fun to create a gratitude tree out of vinyl lettering. Of course you could recreate this with butcher paper or construction paper. Each day we write on a leaf things that we are grateful for. I committed everyone to write at least one thing per day that they are thankful for.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCF0hjDCYlrD682h38I7WWXMUlGsnZHg7yMzXNdceoCutv3Gu5xQIB4bNiC1vM717F5INkx6zUMeLZT7GHX5mVK6SOXhLoZ5XfckkeaDi2MgRUrnrnOCu2FjfUumDz-Pob4dWjtokSKk0/s1600/photo+(54).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCF0hjDCYlrD682h38I7WWXMUlGsnZHg7yMzXNdceoCutv3Gu5xQIB4bNiC1vM717F5INkx6zUMeLZT7GHX5mVK6SOXhLoZ5XfckkeaDi2MgRUrnrnOCu2FjfUumDz-Pob4dWjtokSKk0/s320/photo+(54).JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
What is amazing is that it is actually hard to only write one thing. Once we start thinking about something that we are grateful for more and more things come to mind! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0eCBU87lRxEZOjmrccswjs4oAzAHnhQnwWw2iyrXO8VvYk0u9wMP5EAk4oioVkCLZ1rYiWhPs4C7992hyphenhyphensSXtN24DiPShekht3Ix5e9rumuUEXvNj41eflQvP258XkJHlBLh92TkC6Us/s1600/photo+(55).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0eCBU87lRxEZOjmrccswjs4oAzAHnhQnwWw2iyrXO8VvYk0u9wMP5EAk4oioVkCLZ1rYiWhPs4C7992hyphenhyphensSXtN24DiPShekht3Ix5e9rumuUEXvNj41eflQvP258XkJHlBLh92TkC6Us/s320/photo+(55).JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I can't wait to see the tree by Thanksgiving! It will be wonderful to see all of the leaves full of gratitude!</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIA54IjVAjMiOFx6gwXyRlLpY6uZatWVU1Ljd7tDWhfvo8YgzU88Unmhq2FihPoekkBYgm6JazFx5XQ2MG1d3H6uFfuOWPgbsMZRTRC7B_mHaLe2Ha5EzQVt85Sls4duWvlD-ChrXjWbk/s1600/Dad+a+son's+first+hero+etsy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIA54IjVAjMiOFx6gwXyRlLpY6uZatWVU1Ljd7tDWhfvo8YgzU88Unmhq2FihPoekkBYgm6JazFx5XQ2MG1d3H6uFfuOWPgbsMZRTRC7B_mHaLe2Ha5EzQVt85Sls4duWvlD-ChrXjWbk/s320/Dad+a+son's+first+hero+etsy.jpg" width="307" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you want to use stain on your signs for a little bit more rustic look always apply the stain AFTER you apply the lettering! If you stain first and then apply the lettering it will be very difficult to get the lettering to stick and you will most likely be very frustrated!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6bkeUCXtnHoQiURq9nsHsXyfnr-4fOCUsxfXRw4Fhf-z44BpEGOWXAiGPsi4Wrl1PLUV0g0B7ff5XeRHsWIkYYe2fBHt5DcWVBUSxh92VJWdnSlERPmuiFxZPxtFcAFZA2z2KmFQZ90s/s1600/In+Our+Home+Subway+Art+Close+Up.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6bkeUCXtnHoQiURq9nsHsXyfnr-4fOCUsxfXRw4Fhf-z44BpEGOWXAiGPsi4Wrl1PLUV0g0B7ff5XeRHsWIkYYe2fBHt5DcWVBUSxh92VJWdnSlERPmuiFxZPxtFcAFZA2z2KmFQZ90s/s320/In+Our+Home+Subway+Art+Close+Up.jpg" width="152" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I like to you cheese cloth to rub the stain into the wood. Go slow and be gentle so you don't ruin your lettering.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A little stain goes a long way! Don't over apply:)</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhT1JsvpH7rrfY5NYwdSpereyhvpmTKcC9IaBQgLdnCJAQo8pOa3ui49zwR8CFbPrNzC6zmzyYbFWGVDdHR35EmBOHxL6vvVG-nxnUE-Dbn8pcSSxtls51G1CI5tCdLqqad7G8ybXh6nq0/s1600/DSCN2910.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhT1JsvpH7rrfY5NYwdSpereyhvpmTKcC9IaBQgLdnCJAQo8pOa3ui49zwR8CFbPrNzC6zmzyYbFWGVDdHR35EmBOHxL6vvVG-nxnUE-Dbn8pcSSxtls51G1CI5tCdLqqad7G8ybXh6nq0/s320/DSCN2910.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love using vinyl to paint with. It is awesome to work with on an old piece of wood, but I hadn't tried it on canvas until this month. This idea was inspired by a project one of my friends did. I loved how hers turned out so I wanted to try something similar.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibeKcPlvlTpgTIIXel87WJltH3AcitXrnJvq4nqSxDyVIYo3V4Q_ZMsr0yKhwtZV7IvT7RRlGu5_bYKUoOm9x9fet8MFktKFS9LQoL94P_f3nTY2uJJfq3mw7EJdpNJIUQsgu0wjnl-Cc/s1600/DSCN2898.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibeKcPlvlTpgTIIXel87WJltH3AcitXrnJvq4nqSxDyVIYo3V4Q_ZMsr0yKhwtZV7IvT7RRlGu5_bYKUoOm9x9fet8MFktKFS9LQoL94P_f3nTY2uJJfq3mw7EJdpNJIUQsgu0wjnl-Cc/s320/DSCN2898.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First I started off with a stained canvas. I had originally stained this canvas to make a welcome sign for my front door, but then I make a welcome sign with a wreathe and then had just never decided what to put on this. I thought having a little darker look to the canvas would be a fun more rustic look. I love how it turned out, but it's hard to tell from the photo. Without the stain it would be stark white, (also a great look, but I wanted it a bit more muted this time.)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The next step is putting the vinyl on your canvas. When you use the "negative" of the vinyl it works like a charm for painting. Fit the entire vinyl to your canvas for easiest results. If you are going to use spray paint then tape the edges as well. I just brushed the paint on this time with a sponge brush.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is what it looked like when I got it all painted.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_qZqxPu-5fROOH4tG4S98eiZM9TgtsJ-m_ecy9TrluC_GQglxzRnG-h-CwjCcrfdDSDyxunuceSZKBfcTOM8oZJ6VvsEZxmVV3QSXpVX3J2lI32EAnBKZh0aKod5vLxqvr1TkqmDyZI4/s1600/DSCN2912.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_qZqxPu-5fROOH4tG4S98eiZM9TgtsJ-m_ecy9TrluC_GQglxzRnG-h-CwjCcrfdDSDyxunuceSZKBfcTOM8oZJ6VvsEZxmVV3QSXpVX3J2lI32EAnBKZh0aKod5vLxqvr1TkqmDyZI4/s320/DSCN2912.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
After I removed my vinyl I touched up a couple of places where I wanted a bit more paint and then this was my finished project! Next time I wouldn't mind trying to stain afterwards just to see what that was like:)</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This year one of my friends and I put our heads together to come up with a delicious thank you gift! She makes the most wonderful salsa. So we put our talents together to come up with these cute and yummy gifts!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs9G9VtPOIIlKLPtumX6CTN2yNttWKwG_kkVYfx26bb-XgBFV5m-aMqOP99RGxODc1fIUwad26hy01EnG0vYqYAQYKg6z1C420HZvfRerKRcu4GoVo1I-8tJrEsvV1OhTs94WxVI5Orpk/s1600/Salsa+and+chips.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs9G9VtPOIIlKLPtumX6CTN2yNttWKwG_kkVYfx26bb-XgBFV5m-aMqOP99RGxODc1fIUwad26hy01EnG0vYqYAQYKg6z1C420HZvfRerKRcu4GoVo1I-8tJrEsvV1OhTs94WxVI5Orpk/s320/Salsa+and+chips.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
By adding a little vinyl to the mason jar we thought it would be more fun for putting something cute in when the salsa is gone. We either put the last name initial or the first name initial. I thought it would be fun to print the initial in everyone's favorite color, but in the end we decided to go with cream because it looks the best with the salsa. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I saw these avery labels at Wal Mart and I thought they would be so fun to print thank you on and put on the top of the jar!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These labels fit a bit better on the wide mouth jars.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I absolutely love decorating with vinyl on a canvas. This piece of art has an amazing story behind it. Using a canvas as a backdrop for your vinyl gives your space a wonderful look. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmdhU34qOe_OPXXBfeXRwZAKWmV43wgCpHqf93rgqvEFaElsb-E48eaBignDCuWiQO8tsc11sYNRyDcjOTAWZm8SRyAdW-QhGMbu2xucMeDGH0sEvts_5Rz3uk7zAIndxcYu3A6PxKu4w/s1600/2011-08-12+16.26.05.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmdhU34qOe_OPXXBfeXRwZAKWmV43wgCpHqf93rgqvEFaElsb-E48eaBignDCuWiQO8tsc11sYNRyDcjOTAWZm8SRyAdW-QhGMbu2xucMeDGH0sEvts_5Rz3uk7zAIndxcYu3A6PxKu4w/s320/2011-08-12+16.26.05.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Adding vinyl to a white canvas is an awesome look. When you are applying the vinyl on canvas you need to be careful that you apply enough pressure so the vinyl will adhere to the canvas, but you want to be careful not to stretch the canvas when you apply the vinyl.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG7TwzbhhXeihQJCamhOKTT-BHancBq573Iqe5Qu8wkcoZdiV7lu8b92Lq2ZiLV0WVoxm1X7GVvjRCf3pZu3zEnb3rlLVYxiAn54B4BXaG4J0iKojjTO4Fgm64MCU3HVd384JRFKwOKDY/s1600/photo+(35).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG7TwzbhhXeihQJCamhOKTT-BHancBq573Iqe5Qu8wkcoZdiV7lu8b92Lq2ZiLV0WVoxm1X7GVvjRCf3pZu3zEnb3rlLVYxiAn54B4BXaG4J0iKojjTO4Fgm64MCU3HVd384JRFKwOKDY/s320/photo+(35).JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My sister painted this canvas and then we added the vinyl to it. The marble painting and the old fashioned writing give this an old fashioned, sophisticated feel. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgShZmHDaLmHR3GeYrzaIX7f07iTStddOIHGI57JKpOrQfNVlzQ7WR1EyM67f_DI-RnCq4fm_x-3p0x4y71WdCmX2eXSOdmSZdTVJsMlFM91XtVG_d8c4F6i5iHW4EVQoeaUAC3ObAX88/s1600/love+birds+in+a+tree+etsy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="251" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgShZmHDaLmHR3GeYrzaIX7f07iTStddOIHGI57JKpOrQfNVlzQ7WR1EyM67f_DI-RnCq4fm_x-3p0x4y71WdCmX2eXSOdmSZdTVJsMlFM91XtVG_d8c4F6i5iHW4EVQoeaUAC3ObAX88/s320/love+birds+in+a+tree+etsy.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Using a smaller canvas can be the perfect addition to a shelf!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilO9hjh5wiBEeSmDXIYqZYNSiVHs_qAKtw4X3_MDplIPkeuMDyEQuyNrQ5nUVkDysux_lbRfY7EFMG-07EsLaxZ7sjGOevdNNzSgTE_3lVIi2CcQ3IPKYxlAZ2cRCN6ePwFgC5RtEJ2zw/s1600/DSCN2912.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilO9hjh5wiBEeSmDXIYqZYNSiVHs_qAKtw4X3_MDplIPkeuMDyEQuyNrQ5nUVkDysux_lbRfY7EFMG-07EsLaxZ7sjGOevdNNzSgTE_3lVIi2CcQ3IPKYxlAZ2cRCN6ePwFgC5RtEJ2zw/s320/DSCN2912.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This idea was inspired by a friend of mine. I printed vinyl that fit the canvas exactly and then removed the letters so the vinyl acted as a negative and then I actually painted the wording on. The other thing that I tried with this canvas that I absolutely loved was I actually stained it! I didn't want the look of the stark white canvas this time, but I didn't want a painted look... just more of a light antiqued look. It worked like a charm. I always like to let my projects dry for 24 hours after applying stain. Next time I might trying painting my canvas first and then adding the stain just to see which one works better and if it produces a different look. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What we are doing this year for our neighbor gifts is giving away fun Christmas soaps! I had a lot of fun designing these different styles so that there is a variety and really the possibilities are endless!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The shape of the Soft Soap bottles is great for a variety. Bath & Body Works bottle we be awesome for a tall skinny tree!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Peel the front sticker off and then take the residue off with Goo Gone. Apply your vinyl lettering and then voila! You have a great gift!</div>

I absolutely love using cupboard doors to decorate with! This Believe vinyl with the handle is one of my favorite Christmas decorations! I love the cream with the cranberry. The cupboard door give this sign a sophisticated style and the handle with ribbons is a perfect finishing touch!</div>

<br />
<br />
I love love love making Christmas decorations! This sign was inspired by an old piece of wood that my husband had acquired. I asked him to get rid of it and most of it disappeared but a long strip was left. After looking at it for months I realized it would be the perfect rustic sign! So got started.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC_0ysODe_08PMS0e69HlGbpL8CkfkPQJT6O5eCoK9jxyabTJUVBGE1v_JuMkubS__kn1bim5Y5aNOnmHI-43I6fcwP5Rg4RgOYfIDxE92AtPp8VXtrWa_l5qJTuZyJ6qjfhuzOPT-nWY/s1600/DSCN2667.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC_0ysODe_08PMS0e69HlGbpL8CkfkPQJT6O5eCoK9jxyabTJUVBGE1v_JuMkubS__kn1bim5Y5aNOnmHI-43I6fcwP5Rg4RgOYfIDxE92AtPp8VXtrWa_l5qJTuZyJ6qjfhuzOPT-nWY/s320/DSCN2667.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: start;">I choose the roughest side for the front and painted it red. Needless to say at this point my hubby was a little worried about how my idea was going to turn out! The next thing I did was apply a vinyl JOY. Note the fabulous blue color:). I used a color I had a lot of since I wasn't leaving it on. The next thing I did was apply a lot of car wax to the sides. I did this because I was some of the red to come through.</span></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxAGPhESWloILgDaaZtE0C8qmvqi-LFanDmw317WOrrdbT3Eeuino09r_o4agUC57q3cTTXULENZATSNcujhN-P9eAQH1xe9Igp-sWuYqaxE4L4Qx-ir-tSZtOucsai1oeAmyl220_a9Y/s1600/DSCN2668.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxAGPhESWloILgDaaZtE0C8qmvqi-LFanDmw317WOrrdbT3Eeuino09r_o4agUC57q3cTTXULENZATSNcujhN-P9eAQH1xe9Igp-sWuYqaxE4L4Qx-ir-tSZtOucsai1oeAmyl220_a9Y/s320/DSCN2668.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Then I got started on the top coat. I sprayed 6-8 coats of white on top. (Of course letting the paint dry in between each coat.) After the paint dried I removed the vinyl and used a rag to rub off the wax and behold the beautiful red that came through! The wax part is kind of messy so be prepared for that. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkq4uENfeG5oa2P9sK8ceeBS9nb0x1Mo1IZX3S-lPfOoOGTmCcBN1aCibS_kk-8q2AR6HVBieV9IyV8eD3l7Bz9uX9OGu_xLqb9EF20tQJI_bBGSeyvLEmFR4KrSmhkaSzs8qFBMTxaP8/s1600/DSCN2669.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkq4uENfeG5oa2P9sK8ceeBS9nb0x1Mo1IZX3S-lPfOoOGTmCcBN1aCibS_kk-8q2AR6HVBieV9IyV8eD3l7Bz9uX9OGu_xLqb9EF20tQJI_bBGSeyvLEmFR4KrSmhkaSzs8qFBMTxaP8/s320/DSCN2669.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once all of that was completed I rubbed in a coat of stain to the top.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the finishing touches I drilled hole 1.5" in from the sides and added wire, a ribbon and rustic jingle bells!</div>

Adding vinyl lettering to pumpkins is a great way to decorate them without any of the mess of carving!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkoPHGLFzchgGmV8qfDjlmswGXGRjCj6c_19a2T0stJr3BToRRcDScEjelLs_2USdFheruHI8rSSocLDtrXfLyDNELns7elVnuc_CmgAhORh-kvf60s2bUp9mo1ceJ96HxL5_8qiesKLU/s1600/Jack+o+lantern+funny+face+Etsy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkoPHGLFzchgGmV8qfDjlmswGXGRjCj6c_19a2T0stJr3BToRRcDScEjelLs_2USdFheruHI8rSSocLDtrXfLyDNELns7elVnuc_CmgAhORh-kvf60s2bUp9mo1ceJ96HxL5_8qiesKLU/s320/Jack+o+lantern+funny+face+Etsy.jpg" width="311" /></a></div>
The possibilities are endless. Jack-o-lantern faces, bats, spiders, they are all so much fun!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This year for our notebooks my daughter decided to go with the less is
more look. a little ribbon and a little vinyl goes a long way toward
being cute. One of my daughter's used tombo to put the ribbon on down
the side of her notebooks and then we just put one small vinyl in the
corner to personalize each notebook. </div>

I absolutely love the subway art phase! It is such a simple, clean and
cute look! It is a great accent with anything because it's never too
busy. I love love love the black with the cream lettering. It is one
of my all time favorites. With all of the fun summer colors for summer
in clothing and accessories I'm thinking why not brighten up my subway
art for summer as well?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I used a 17" x 20" piece of MDF. I painted it using Americana's Sea Breeze acrylic paint. I usually like to stain over my signs to add an antiqued look to it. When I made this sign though I had had a headache for four days though... so I wasn't up to smelling stain. Instead I took some brown paint and watered it WAY down. After I painted it over the top I took a paper towel and wiped off the excess paint and it was the perfect look! <br />
<br />
Originally I was going to put black lettering on, but I decided to go even bolder and try out the dark red letters over this green. I love it! It's fun to experiment and try new things.Kristinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06851706450328902552noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8510643684846056277.post-87506809885990267632012-06-20T21:27:00.000-07:002012-06-20T21:27:22.302-07:004th of July Centerpieces<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

they don't have any raised lettering on the actual bottle!<br />

You could add ribbon, or put flowers in them, or put lighting in them! I just added some of the fun wired stars from the dollar star in them. If you're looking for a quick fun centerpiece this is perfect! <br />

This is one of my all time favorite sayings. I think being a dad has got to be one of the hardest and most rewarding jobs there is. Provider, protector, teacher, and on and on. This saying is on a 12x12 piece of wood that has been routed and sanded on the edges. This would be a great saying for a tile and we've even made it in a different layout that is 4"x36". Happy Father's Day to all of those great dad's out there.Kristinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06851706450328902552noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8510643684846056277.post-16584941821995418242012-06-01T09:53:00.002-07:002012-06-01T09:54:24.025-07:00Chore Charts<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
These chore charts are one of my favorite things about this summer so far! I love the slow down of not having to rush to be ready for school every morning, but let's face it will still need to get some work done around the house. These are perfect for us! Everyone one knows what's expected of them for the day and I can easily see how to organize what I need help with.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgr7vHqYj7vd0UMz4os_7sYB9XoylCFsWj3zZJrDU6hBBqfiSlhbnLf77p7I_NElw4bwdCJdoB4q-658EE_9KcM_-Ng4jWcvOabL-4wLM4mhMeOMqcKVaA-x2C_VHHkunw6DcBxztfHNGs/s1600/DSCN1993.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgr7vHqYj7vd0UMz4os_7sYB9XoylCFsWj3zZJrDU6hBBqfiSlhbnLf77p7I_NElw4bwdCJdoB4q-658EE_9KcM_-Ng4jWcvOabL-4wLM4mhMeOMqcKVaA-x2C_VHHkunw6DcBxztfHNGs/s320/DSCN1993.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I decided on using frames so that I have the ability to write on the
glass with dry erase markers. I love rotating the chores and I didn't
want to have to store cards or magnets that we weren't using on a
particular day. I decided on tall skinny ones because they fit perfect
in my space.<br />

I debated about putting the everyday chores underneath the glass or on top of the glass. I decided to put it on top of the glass just in case I wanted to change things up... like say someone quits the violin... I don't want to have to re-do the whole chore chart. I'll just peel of practice violin and still be good to go.</div>

My favorite part about this chore chart is writing the other chores that
we rotate in dry erase marker. So far the kids are loving this new
arrangement. (We'll see how long that lasts though:). They check off
their chores when they're done and my little guy even writes new ones on
that I ask him to do (like put in a trash bag) if it's not written on there. </div>

We picked up water balloons from Target and ended up using just under two packages of 50 count each for each set of sandals. The dollar store would be a great place to pick these up as well.

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheIIbf35KiX6VANgLVwKKuCx11HmoIPzFrcdnrlhsC_8zTRzdRPySys258y100jjzJacFTEkgvGBKLCQbRwrGQsnl1F7uhtjcKiaNsu33N8OnXgm18xNeGTZkJAttcJTzlHojtsn1QFnk/s1600/DSCN1810.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheIIbf35KiX6VANgLVwKKuCx11HmoIPzFrcdnrlhsC_8zTRzdRPySys258y100jjzJacFTEkgvGBKLCQbRwrGQsnl1F7uhtjcKiaNsu33N8OnXgm18xNeGTZkJAttcJTzlHojtsn1QFnk/s200/DSCN1810.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
The key to making these is stretching the balloons out before you tie them on the sandals. Also you want to make sure that you alternate the way that you tie the balloons on.<br />

I love how this Welcome wreathe and board turned out! It was definitely one of those projects that kept evolving. I originally intended on it being a Spring wreathe. Unfortunately Spring is so short in AZ and so I decided to make it into a Welcome sign and switch out the wreathes throughout the year.
For the wreathe I cut out small circles out of felt. I folded them in quarters and then pinned each one on the wreathe.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCxichn9ths0AdEwEvHaEGCEplQHW9U50y7-uWMbj6HHPEA7_MnwehKoKsrh_3f5z-Mgf1FoSohF_DqwZeW6HiTqxvaXLTKq_PJPajBRJp4TrRNksOGaT_l_WF8vFwqAT5La1mXyAx2Sc/s1600/DSCN1665.JPG" imageanchor="1" style=""><img border="0" height="150" width="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCxichn9ths0AdEwEvHaEGCEplQHW9U50y7-uWMbj6HHPEA7_MnwehKoKsrh_3f5z-Mgf1FoSohF_DqwZeW6HiTqxvaXLTKq_PJPajBRJp4TrRNksOGaT_l_WF8vFwqAT5La1mXyAx2Sc/s200/DSCN1665.JPG" /></a></div>
I also stained the wood and the bead board and let the wood dry for 24 hours.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

After 3 extra trips to Hobby Lobby I knew I was dead wrong. So I just have to blog about it to share my tips to save you time and a few trips to the craft store.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGZrmu6kw1ACjT03xdWCcykCUZS0YEmjFTCnk2zaU-2UIbvMz4sfLI2G-p7qkcrcvlPtuDzG0fybBmanlvHq5Vb4t7DXsAxeawDOX3N_ef4e21X1yTb5QIDOD47hb1USW-s7Gf32oC4Hs/s1600/DSCN1598.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGZrmu6kw1ACjT03xdWCcykCUZS0YEmjFTCnk2zaU-2UIbvMz4sfLI2G-p7qkcrcvlPtuDzG0fybBmanlvHq5Vb4t7DXsAxeawDOX3N_ef4e21X1yTb5QIDOD47hb1USW-s7Gf32oC4Hs/s200/DSCN1598.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5711805013733438706" /></a><br /><br />So the concept itself is pretty simple. Acetate ribbon is perfect for making the award ribbons and it's not that expensive to get a huge roll of it, especially if it's on sale. So start by folding the ends of the ribbon diagonally so that it forms a triangle in the back. We also added a slip of paper that had the award name on the back so we could write down who was getting the ribbon once the scoring was completed if we wanted to.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgONPfit-uKs-4MfnXt-_U1nymW017TtpWjXQkEfYTAVQzvkO3tTIQ7y3YG69b7eZuPCv0S-CdS-kErJTzCUlZZFWGp0ZOHYw1p-Tm79Mq2AHXsiYVXMs1S2Qr_K8GZEQ8CIMIfoiw0Ycs/s1600/DSCN1601.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgONPfit-uKs-4MfnXt-_U1nymW017TtpWjXQkEfYTAVQzvkO3tTIQ7y3YG69b7eZuPCv0S-CdS-kErJTzCUlZZFWGp0ZOHYw1p-Tm79Mq2AHXsiYVXMs1S2Qr_K8GZEQ8CIMIfoiw0Ycs/s200/DSCN1601.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5711806318447413666" /></a><br /><br />We (I roped one of my friend into helping me with this little adventure) then used a little tombo on the back just to secure the ribbon a little better and then we added the brad. <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRK8ow9gX48QJ2j7EFmbgd0IVqsXPc7087Q48jwOYf1xnqyRZtPJrYB4gZF6DYsB1uHlJvkXLpKOwp9wDWa2yrMYsi2fWgvjJtK7-tcaViAZlotXdRISFkOF75pZRVgWhr8PovNGjre_M/s1600/DSCN1603.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRK8ow9gX48QJ2j7EFmbgd0IVqsXPc7087Q48jwOYf1xnqyRZtPJrYB4gZF6DYsB1uHlJvkXLpKOwp9wDWa2yrMYsi2fWgvjJtK7-tcaViAZlotXdRISFkOF75pZRVgWhr8PovNGjre_M/s200/DSCN1603.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5711806865215665106" /></a><br /><br />Next I put the lettering on, which was the easiest part of this project. <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrfpZ1b0OmjtK8mB-Y0bMn0f-uZFnH0s75nUUzqzwyLkQv7M-3UDOOZj8Uk19o9F4KTn2qa0w0rOoeKqQ4UoppFHL01enH4abCzyk9plx2WS0t5CFLf8ieAS4uS0Xsp-aPR_tXQvr_DOc/s1600/DSCN1607.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrfpZ1b0OmjtK8mB-Y0bMn0f-uZFnH0s75nUUzqzwyLkQv7M-3UDOOZj8Uk19o9F4KTn2qa0w0rOoeKqQ4UoppFHL01enH4abCzyk9plx2WS0t5CFLf8ieAS4uS0Xsp-aPR_tXQvr_DOc/s200/DSCN1607.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5711808206664763010" /></a><br /><br />Lastly I used embroidery floss to make the tassel part that you can hang the ribbon with. I would have liked to used some corded ribbon and frayed the end, but I could not find a big enough brad. Originally I bought a little bigger brad, but it was to "thick" for the ribbon, I think it was made to go through leather. I'm sure there is a place online to buy these or even a specialty scrapbook store, but I just didn't have the time to research that out. <br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjLgDcwG6dRjQtobTnlL2kw7kjkPnpJSJ-Bz3rXtETe3m_NqgbeodvKEd3qZ8msT_CwaGJqp6DqbWvVNvwqKZpAYoOqx_SUnl3eP2E4rqiTQYYysshmPnMNuz_V0ZVk-z9LGXmH44exSQ/s1600/photo%25281%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjLgDcwG6dRjQtobTnlL2kw7kjkPnpJSJ-Bz3rXtETe3m_NqgbeodvKEd3qZ8msT_CwaGJqp6DqbWvVNvwqKZpAYoOqx_SUnl3eP2E4rqiTQYYysshmPnMNuz_V0ZVk-z9LGXmH44exSQ/s200/photo%25281%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5711804468681680546" /></a> <br /><br />In the end they turned out really nice, but I'm not sure that the savings is that great over ones that you actually buy if you consider the time that it takes.Kristinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06851706450328902552noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8510643684846056277.post-73018627956018972192012-02-07T15:10:00.000-08:002012-02-07T15:32:51.657-08:00Feather Boa Wreath<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCKbR0nL6DDh_-ldsJ4PXPNJBRhznlZvY5AAg5Kx0MEJu2S1i0P4X5YTvAC6hUAkO07sh7PARew9-ZXoY4taA1VusIvSQ8l8E_E4e4s2ua_gIls7lwIYOPauC_gSHrldeEN2zIOTxUAOk/s1600/DSCN1654.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCKbR0nL6DDh_-ldsJ4PXPNJBRhznlZvY5AAg5Kx0MEJu2S1i0P4X5YTvAC6hUAkO07sh7PARew9-ZXoY4taA1VusIvSQ8l8E_E4e4s2ua_gIls7lwIYOPauC_gSHrldeEN2zIOTxUAOk/s200/DSCN1654.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5706535266712913442" /></a><br /><br />One of my friends made a white wreathe like this and I just had to make one for Valentine's Day. So I settled on pink and I love it. This photo was taken after the 1st coat of stain. As you can see it needed another application. I let the stain set for 24 hours after each application. After I stained the sign I put two backs in the back. I think that it is important to use two backs on this sign so when kids are touching their stockings your sign will be stable. <br /><br />After I put the backs on I applied the sticker.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAySXtxLaHI-TdRwiVP2RNM6YhEeOkX1WwtxIUZ8k5YeLysbhyphenhyphenBZvEV5yK95ZEMii0iWsGc63jRLHkEhf47G243oZ8mlyN_r53rntbAs7BSSCmZcwA4hs-pojusvXfwb54ea0TZzsr07k/s1600/DSCN1127.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAySXtxLaHI-TdRwiVP2RNM6YhEeOkX1WwtxIUZ8k5YeLysbhyphenhyphenBZvEV5yK95ZEMii0iWsGc63jRLHkEhf47G243oZ8mlyN_r53rntbAs7BSSCmZcwA4hs-pojusvXfwb54ea0TZzsr07k/s200/DSCN1127.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5676014230440575650" /></a><br /> <br />Now the only thing that was left to do was to decide where to put the knobs. My favorite place to buy knobs is Home Depot because you can find some for under $2.00. Knobs can get really pricey, so if you're looking to do this for a reasonable price go to Home Depot. I like using knobs because they are very secure. I laid them on the board so I could make sure I liked how they looked and then measured from there. I placed the knobs 1 1/2 up from the bottom. Then the next step is to drill the holes where you have marked and screw the knobs on.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyEphy0qk4QfH3AVsSzXnjOiKkyh79oju4MJqzOrZPYyLB_yYqV0Is_WFj_6lVnipXzJ5JUvYfDcTES5ttDvp4JosqQzqSU7Bi4UoocjXX-oomeZAC9LWP4O2lZlQyJcG4UekAMsXKEvE/s1600/DSCN1128.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyEphy0qk4QfH3AVsSzXnjOiKkyh79oju4MJqzOrZPYyLB_yYqV0Is_WFj_6lVnipXzJ5JUvYfDcTES5ttDvp4JosqQzqSU7Bi4UoocjXX-oomeZAC9LWP4O2lZlQyJcG4UekAMsXKEvE/s200/DSCN1128.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5676014710889786690" /></a><br /><br />I made this sign for a boutique so it doesn't have personalized names. If you'd like to order one I'd love to personalize the names for your family above the knobs.
